Booking & Logistics
How do I book a massage?+
The easiest way is online: visit the booking page, choose your service, pick a date and time, and confirm. You'll receive an email confirmation straight away. Alternatively, call Paul on 01753 905 139 or email info@paulmassage.uk.
What areas do you cover?+
Paul covers Slough, Maidenhead, Weybridge, Rickmansworth, Southall, Chiswick and surrounding areas. If you're unsure whether your location is within range, drop him a message or call; he's happy to confirm.
How far in advance do I need to book?+
Same-day appointments are sometimes available, particularly on weekdays. For weekend slots and evenings, booking a few days ahead is advisable. The online booking system shows live availability.
What are your hours?+
Paul is available daily, 10am–10pm, seven days a week including bank holidays. Evening appointments are popular; if you work during the day, a 6pm or 7pm slot is a great option.
How do I cancel or reschedule?+
Please give as much notice as possible; cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee. To rearrange, contact Paul directly by phone or email and he'll find an alternative that works.
Do you offer gift vouchers?+
Yes. A massage with Paul makes a genuinely thoughtful gift. Contact him directly to arrange a gift voucher for any service and duration.
What to Expect
What do I need to provide at home?+
Very little. Paul brings a professional massage table, fresh linens, oils and everything else required. You just need a clear space of roughly 2m × 2.5m, a comfortable room temperature, and somewhere to relax afterwards.
What should I wear?+
You'll undress to your level of comfort; most people undress fully or to their underwear. You're professionally draped with a sheet throughout the session; only the area being worked is ever uncovered. Paul will step out while you get onto the table.
How long does a session take from start to finish?+
Allow a little extra time beyond the treatment itself. Paul arrives a few minutes early to set up, spends a few minutes discussing your needs, and allows time at the end to get dressed. A 60-minute treatment typically means about 75–80 minutes in total.
Should I eat before a massage?+
Avoid a large meal in the hour or two before your session. A light snack is fine. Lying on a full stomach is uncomfortable and can work against the relaxation you're looking for.
Should I shower beforehand?+
A shower beforehand is always appreciated, but not essential. Avoid applying heavy lotions or oils immediately before the session as these can interfere with the massage medium.
What happens after the massage?+
Drink plenty of water in the hours following your session. Avoid intense exercise for the rest of the day. Some mild muscle soreness in the 24–48 hours after a deep tissue session is normal and a sign the tissue has been worked effectively.
Services & Treatments
Which massage should I choose?+
Try the 'Find your massage' quiz on the homepage: three questions, instant personalised recommendation. Alternatively, call Paul and describe what you're hoping to address.
Can I combine elements of different treatments?+
Yes. Paul adapts every session to the individual. If a longer session benefits from both deep tissue and relaxation work, that's what you'll get. Let him know your goals at the start.
What is Harmonoflow™?+
Harmonoflow™ is Paul's own therapeutic method, developed over 15 years of practice. It delivers the depth and effectiveness of deep tissue massage by timing pressure with your natural breath cycle, specifically your exhale, when muscles are neurologically primed to release. The result is profound work without the discomfort that puts many people off deep tissue.
Do you offer add-ons?+
Yes, aromatherapy oils (£5 per blend) and Theragun percussive therapy (£20) can be added to any session. Mention it when booking.
How often should I get a massage?+
It depends on your goals. For general wellbeing, once or twice a month is ideal. For chronic tension or injury recovery, fortnightly sessions may be appropriate initially. Paul will make a personalised recommendation at your first appointment.
Is massage suitable during pregnancy?+
Yes, prenatal massage is offered as a specialist service. Paul is trained in pregnancy massage and adapts all techniques and positioning for safety. Generally recommended from 12 weeks onwards. Always inform your midwife.
Pricing & Payment
How much does a massage cost?+
Prices start from £85 for a 60-minute session. Longer sessions (90 and 120 minutes) are available at higher rates. The Harmonoflow™ signature method starts from £95. Full pricing is shown on each service page and in the booking system.
How do I pay?+
Payment is taken through the booking system at the time of booking. Paul accepts card payments (via the booking platform), bank transfer and cash.
Is massage covered by private health insurance?+
Some private health insurance policies cover massage therapy, particularly where there's a clinical need. Paul can provide a receipt and treatment notes if required. Check with your insurer; coverage varies widely by policy.
Do you offer a discount for regular clients?+
Regular clients are Paul's priority. If you're planning an ongoing schedule of sessions, get in touch directly to discuss options.
